How do I Verify That I Have the Correct Part Number for my Retrax Cover?

GMC Sierra Owner: I ordered a Retrax T9O41XR from you. I got it, but when we opened it up the number is different than what I initially ordered. It says 91491.

Shaun: Can you send some photos to the order confirmation that you received? Just reply to that, send photos of the part number you're looking at on the box.

GMC Sierra Owner: Is the part number on the packing list?

Shaun: The one I want to see is actually the box and the part itself.

GMC Sierra Owner: I need the Retrax 9O41XR

Shaun: Yeah, the 9O41 I believe is the one it is. What's the bed length on your 2019 GMC Sierra?

GMC Sierra Owner: It's a short bed. It says T9O481 on the packing list, but when you look at the item it says 91491MX.

Shaun: I'm looking at their website and I believe that is just a generic part number for that part of the kit, which is 9O481. What's the box say?

GMC Sierra Owner: When you look at the box, it says "retractable bed cover" and T9O481. So, I must have the right one.

Shaun: Yeah, you must have the right one. So, you should be good to go, but should you have any issues, just give us a call back and I'll reach out to Retrax to get you taken care of.

How Can I Find Tracking on My BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover?

Tonneau Cover Customer: I'm getting several emails from you, but I ordered a tonneau cover from you, and I just want to know what the status of it is.

Peter: Okay. Okay, yeah, you ordered on Monday. You ordered the BAKFlip MX4?

Tonneau Cover Customer: Yeah, it's the MX4.

Peter: I just requested tracking on this, and then I can email it over to you here when they get back to me.

Tonneau Cover Customer: Okay, very good. Thank you.

Retrax Cover for a 2019 Ford F-250

F-250 Owner: I had gotten an email from you a couple weeks ago about a Retrax cover, but that might be with stake pockets cut out. I don't want that. I want the standard one

Peter: Okay. Retrax Pro MX for an eight foot bed?

F-350 Owner: Yep, it's for a 2019 F-350. You had a program running on that. Is that still in effect?

Peter: Our sale ended, but let me see what I can do for you though. Give me just a second here. So 2019 F-350, eight foot bed... Okay, still good. Okay yeah, I can do it for close to the quoted sale price. It's free shipping, and there's no sales tax if you're ordering from outside of Arizona.

F-350 Owner: There was a rebate, is that no longer available?

Peter: That ended as well, unfortunately.

F-350 Owner: When will you have any programs running again like that?

Peter: I don't know. When it comes to manufacturer rebates, we actually don't get informed until about 48 hours before.

F-350 Owner: Would you know the amount of that framing, or any of the material associated with that Retrax, how high does it sit above the bedrail on the truck when it's closed?

Peter: It doesn't. It sits flush inside the bedrail.

F-350 Owner: Beautiful, perfect that's important, because I have some clearance issues. And would you know the dimensions of the unit when it is fully opened? I've never had one of these things, and I have another issue now with the fuel tank.

Peter: Okay, so the canister is about 11 inches, by 11 inches, by the width of the bed.

F-350 Owner: 11 inches, by 11 inches. And does that open fully into it, or is there some portion of the cover that has to remain unopened?

Peter: Yeah, there's just a very little bit that will still stay in the rails. Yes.

F-350 Owner: There is something, okay. Do you know how much of that in inches?

Peter: I don't, I'm sorry.

F-350 Owner: This is important. Is there somebody I can call at Retrax about this?

Peter: Yeah, they have techs over there that might have the exact dimensions for your application. They might be able to help you with that.

F-350 Owner: Okay, I'm going to give them a call, see if I can get that information. And I'll get back to you sometime this afternoon. Is there an issue with these things leaking rain water? I'm hearing, reading a lot of different reviews on it, as far as being water tight.

Peter: Yeah, in my experience when there's water issues, they didn't install it correctly. It's designed to be extremely water resistant, with drain channels that lead to drain tubes, that keep the water out of the bed. So you shouldn't have issue with that.

F-350 Owner: I should not. Okay, good enough. I'll give them a holler and get back with you then.

Peter: Okay, sounds good.

Pro MX Price Difference for a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 When Opting for Stake Pocket Cutouts

Chevy Silverado Owner: I was inquiring online about Retrax bed covers, Tonneau covers, and I wanted to get a quote on one, and that, apparently, I've got to get over the phone.

Sean: Okay. What's the truck?

Chevy Silverado Owner: It's a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500. With the short bed; 6'6 bed.

Sean: You're looking at the Pro or the One?

Chevy Silverado Owner: Looking at the MX. I think.

Sean: The aluminum version?

Chevy Silverado Owner: Yeah the Pro MX. Do you have to specify whether you want the cutouts on the bed and all that? Does that matter in the price?

Sean: It does. Do you want something special there?

Chevy Silverado Owner: Well, no, I mean what I want is the one that has the cutouts for the little post holes in the bed.

Sean: The cutouts would be roughly an extra $60 and free shipping and no tax outside of Arizona.

Chevy Silverado Owner: Okay. You know, I think I want to order it.

Sean: Okay. Let's go ahead and do that.

Installation and Shipping Information on the AMP Research PowerStep Plug and Play for a 2016 Silverado, 3500 HD

Silverado Owner: Hi, I got a quote for your AMP PowerStep plug and play and I'm wondering how you guys get them and are able to sell them for so much under their MSRP, I guess?

Peter: We deal directly with the manufacturer so we have special relationships with them. And we do a ton of volume. So, you know, we can do special pricing that other people can't offer.

Silverado Owner: Right. And then do you guys also offer the same warranty, all that type of stuff?

Peter: Yes, it's still the manufacturer warranty that five year, 60000 miles, yes.

Silverado Owner: Right. All right. And then, where are you guys located?

Peter: We're in Scottsdale, Arizona but they wouldn't necessarily ship from here. What truck is this for?

Silverado Owner: It's a 2016 Silverado, 3500 HD.

Peter: Okay so it's free shipping and no sales tax for you.

Silverado Owner: Who do you ship with?

Peter: It's going to be FedEx.

Silverado Owner: And then one more question, with those plug in play steps on the 2016 3500 HD do you have to do any sort of modification to install them?

Peter: No. No, that's a standard install on those.

Silverado Owner: Okay. So I could do it with some basic tools in the garage there.

Peter: Yes, absolutely.

Silverado Owner: Right. Okay. And I was reading it plugs into the OBD port?

Peter: It does. Yes, so they don't have to be hardwired or anything like that. It's pretty straightforward.

Silverado Owner: Yes, and is that with the LEDs on the steps?

Peter: Yes.

Silverado Owner: Everything's through the OBD port?

Peter: Yes. Absolutely.

Silverado Owner: Okay. Well, that's good to know and that's a dang good price, so I'll probably be back in touch.

Peter: Okay, yes, let me know. I've got them in stock, they're ready to go.

What's the Best Retrax Cover for a 2017 Ford F-150 Crew Cab?

Peter: Hi, this is Peter returning a call from TonneauCovered.com

F-150 Owner: I was just trying to get a price on the Retrax. I have a 2017 F-150 Crew Cab. I think the bed is 5.7

Peter: Retrax? Okay. Which Retrax model?

F-150 Owner: The Elite one or the other one? I don't know which one. I didn't even check which ones you have. Which ones do you have?

Peter: We have all their models. We carry their whole line.

F-150 Owner: Oh, okay.

Peter: Are you looking for an aluminum cover?

F-150 Owner: It doesn't have to be aluminum.

Peter: Okay. They have a polycarbonate, so it's plastic and then they have an aluminum. The plastic one is a little cheaper.

F-150 Owner: It's free shipping?

Peter: It is. Yes.

F-150 Owner: All right. Thanks a lot, man.
