What is The Best Option for In-Bed Storage For a GMC Sierra?

GMC Sierra Owner: What do you recommend for in-bed storage on a GMC Sierra 1500? We need something to kind of cut across the back of the truck a couple feet in where the hooks are to kind of keep our stuff from sliding all the way to the bulkhead. You got any recommendations on that? Something y'all offer?

Shaun: Let's see here.

GMC Sierra Owner: I don't know if this matters because I almost pulled the trigger on something off of Amazon, some kind of organizer bar. But I forgot, the new body style, the bed, what they've done is made it wider on the inside.

Shaun: Right.

GMC Sierra Owner: The bed is, what is it? 71 and a half inches wide on the inside, and I guess it used to 69 or 70. And that seems to matter apparently on things I've looked at because it's wider than some of the things out there. I was going to get one of those little tension bars to go across the back to kind of give us something, some kind of back board there. And they're all 70 inches wide, and I didn't know if that mattered to anything you might have.

Shaun: They have something that Roll N Lock makes, but it only works for their covers. And then TruXedo makes something called a Truck Luggage, but I don't know if it stops everything as much as it is just something hanging there that you could put stuff into.

GMC Sierra Owner: I got you. Yeah I'm thinking something that we put the groceries in the back. If we got the cover, we're just going to pop open the tailgate and put groceries or stuff from the store, whatever, shopping, whatever. I'm just thinking something like that, that'll keep that kind of stuff from rolling around.
