What's the Difference Between the Roll N Lock Covers And Are They Easy to Install?

Toyota Tundra Owner: I'm interested in a Roll N Lock tonneau cover. Are the Roll N Locks something that would be easy to install?

Peter: Yeah, the install guides are really good. They really are. And there are now YouTube videos that show you step by step. If you take your time, it's probably an hour install, but I don't think you're going to have much of an issue there. It's pretty straight forward.

Toyota Tundra Owner: Okay, great, great, great. Super. All right, well listen Peter, I appreciate your information. Let me think about this and figure out which one I really want to do. Now the difference in the two, in the M and A, is just that the M is vinyl over aluminum.

Peter: Right.

Toyota Tundra Owner: And the A is a powder-coating surface over the aluminum.

Peter: That's right. Yes, and just so you know, because some people ask and wonder about this, the vinyl on the M series is extremely durable. It's not like flimsy stuff that's going to cut or break down over time. It really does hold up well over time.

Toyota Tundra Owner: Does it? Okay, good. Well, that's, you know, that ... and there again, that's a concern. I mean, it's what, $300 ... nearly 300 more dollars for the other, but if the vinyl was going to crack and peel and all that, then it's worth the $300.

Peter: Right.

Toyota Tundra Owner: All right, well let me get some information on this and see what I think I can do and I definitely will be calling you back, okay?

Peter: Okay

What is the Price Difference on a Retrax Cover For a Dually With an 8 Foot Bed?

Dodge Ram Owner: Peter! Good morning. I was looking through your website regarding the sliders, the power sliders for the trucks?

Peter: Okay.

Dodge Ram Owner: I have a 2013 Dodge Ram. The mega cab. Something like that, what does it run?

Peter: You're talking about an eight foot fed, right?

Dodge Ram Owner: You know what? I want to say mine is six foot bed, 'cause I got the mega cab. It's a little short.

Peter: Okay, but it's a Dually?

Dodge Ram Owner: It's a Dually, yes.

Peter: Hm, okay. Most Duallys are eight feet, but maybe you have a different setup. For the shorter beds, that you believe you have, the Retrax Powertrax Pro, which is a powered aluminum tonneau cover, would be good. I'll send you a quote right now. If it's an eight foot bed it's going to be about $100 more than that.

Dodge Ram Owner: Oh, okay. Yeah, because like I say, I got the mega cab. The cab is bigger, but I think the bed is shorter.

Peter: Okay, 6'4". Okay.

Dodge Ram Owner: Yeah. Yeah, something like that. I know it's not the long one, 'cause it wouldn't fit in my garage if it was.

Peter: Okay, got you. Got you. You should have the quote in your email now. That was for the aluminum powered retractable cover.

Dodge Ram Owner: Aluminum powered, okay. That's what I was looking for. Okay. All righty. I was just looking around. I read your website. I said, "Ah, let me check them out first." All right, Peter. Well, what I'll do, I'll look around more. Where am I calling? That's what I'm saying. Where am I calling at?

Peter: Well, we're in Arizona.

Dodge Ram Owner: Oh! Okay, okay. Do you guys have any warehouses anywhere else in the country?

Peter: We ship directly from the manufacturer.

Dodge Ram Owner: Oh, okay. Okay, okay. I see what you're saying. I'm always out of town. It's going to be hard. All right, Peter. Well, I appreciate your time. I'll look into it more. I thank you again.

Peter: No problem. Talk to you soon.

What's the Difference Between a Retrax Pro and a Retrax Pro XR for a 2019 Ford F-250 with an 8 foot bed?

Ford F250 Owner: Yeah, I'd like to discuss a Tonneau Cover.

Shawn: What kind of Tonneau Cover are you looking at?

Ford F250 Owner: The Retrax Pro.

Shawn: What kind of truck is it?

Ford F250 Owner: It's a 2019 Ford F-250 with an 8 foot bed.

Shawn: Okay, let's see here. So for the Pro MX in the Matte black, for the 8 foot bed ... Standard rails, or do you want the stake pocket cut outs?

Ford F250 Owner: Are the stake pocket cutouts the little holes in the truck?

Shawn: Yeah.

Ford F250 Owner: Yeah, let's do it with the cut outs.

Shawn: Okay. There's no tax outside of Arizona, and shipping is free.

Ford F250 Owner: Is there a cover that has rails on it, to where you can put bars on top?

Shawn: Yes, but the one I just quoted is not the one. I can get you the info on that one if you like.

Ford F250 Owner: I don't need the rails right now. I'm thinking that I may just want the one that has the ability to put the bars on there.

Shawn: Well, the cool thing is ... I think it's like $100 more and you get the rails, but right now they're running a promotion where you actually get the rails for free. But you won't have those cut outs, and it's called the Retrax Pro XR.

Ford F250 Owner: But it's the same color and all that?

Shawn: Correct.

Ford F250 Owner: The matte black aluminum supports the weight and all that? But it doesn't have cut outs. Why doesn't it have cut outs?

Shawn: Well, because of those rails. That T channel goes through the whole length of the rail, pretty much right where those cut outs would be. And you can't alter that. And the purpose for the cut outs, really, is for racks and things like that, so you're kind of replacing that with this.

Ford F250 Owner: Yeah. Okay. That's what I need to know. I appreciate it.

Shawn: You got it, my friend.

Ford F250 Owner: It's a good price. I just got to get my partner to approve it, but I'll be calling back.

What's the Best BAK Tonneau Cover for a 2014 Ford F-150 Crew Cab?

Ford F-150 Owner: Well you gave me a price on a Bakflip G2 and I'm wondering if we could discuss Bakflip Fibermax?

Peter: What truck is it for?

Ford F-150 Owner: It's for a 2014 Ford F-150 crew cab

Peter: Okay, it's free shipping, and there's no sales tax if you're ordering from outside of Arizona.

Ford F-150 Owner: Okay. Can you tell me if that's a good choice? I live in Arizona. I had the Bakflip 2 on another vehicle, and in the summertime it was kind of hard to touch. In some ways the Fibermax might be better.

Peter: It would be easier. I mean it will still get warm, but it'll be less so than the aluminum of the G2.

Ford F-150 Owner: Okay. And it works just the same as a G2?

Peter: That's right.

Ford F-150 Owner: And the MX4, the only difference there is that you can lock it. Is that right?

Peter: No, the MX4 is basically an upgraded G2. It's made of stronger aluminum. It comes with a three year warranty, instead of a two year warranty.

Ford F-150 Owner: Okay. So it's the same function?

Peter: Right.

Ford F-150 Owner: Awesome. Thank you so much.
