How Do I Get Financing on a Tonneau Cover?

Tonneau Covered Customer: Hi, yes, I'm looking to order a tonneau cover.

Sean: Okay. What kind of tonneau cover is it?

Tonneau Covered Customer: I'm looking at a BAK cover. I received a link to buy one, but I must've deleted.

Sean: I'll email that to you again. All you got to do is fill in your shipping information and billing information and credit card, and you're good to go.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Alright, so the prices are still the same?

Sean: It's an extra 20 bucks now, but I'll honor the original price.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Okay, and that still comes with that free tailgate seal that was on there? It says you'll send a free one.

Sean: I'll add to it to the order.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Okay, and what's that place where you can split the payments up? You take payments on it?

Sean: Klarna is a company that will allow you to make payments.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Okay, Klarna will be on there?

Sean: Yes, sir.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Okay, thank you so much.

Does Having a Deck Rail System on a 2014 Tundra Double Cab Change the Price of a Tonneau Cover?

Toyota Tundra Owner: I was speaking to Pete via email about the BAKflip MX 4 Cover, and he asked a question about a deck rail. I just got a 2014 Tundra pick-up truck, a double cab, and I wasn't sure exactly what he meant by a deck rail system inside the bed.

Shawn: So, inside of your bed, if you have the rail system, you'll have those tie down cleats. Is that something that you have?

Toyota Tundra Owner: Yeah, then I guess I do have a deck rail system.

Shawn: Okay. Yeah, that changes the price a little bit because there's a different kit that goes with that. Hold on one second here.

Toyota Tundra Owner: Oh, okay. I think he might have misunderstood me. I told him I had something inside. But I thought you meant those bars on top of the actual cab. The bed. Because some trucks have those big bars that go across, that run the bed length. But I don't have that. But I do have the adjustable tie downs inside the bed, up top, I think on the side.

Shawn: You said it's a 2014 Tundra?

Toyota Tundra Owner: Yeah. 2014 Tundra, double cab.

Shawn: What size bed?

Toyota Tundra Owner: I believe it's a 6.6. It's not the short bed, it's the one in between the short and the long bed. So I believe it's the 6.6 one. It's a limited edition, if that makes any difference. But I'm assuming not.

Shawn: No, the only thing we go off is the year, make, model, and bed size. So, for the deck rail you're looking at an extra $40.

Toyota Tundra Owner: That's still not too bad. It's a little bit cheaper than online, that's for sure. Let's do it.

Shawn: All right, I'll go ahead and get you checked out and get everything shipped.

Toyota Tundra Owner: Okay, appreciate that. Thank you very much.

What's the Best Hard & Soft Tonneau Cover for a 2001 Ford F150 with an Extended Cab?

Ford F150 Owner: I was just calling about a tonneau cover, just to see what kinds you offer.

Peter: Okay. What truck is it for?

Ford F150 Owner: It's a 2001 Ford F150. It's an extended cab model.

Peter: Okay. And what type cover are you looking at?

Ford F150 Owner: I was kind of inquiring about a hardtop cover, the folding type.

Peter: We do, yeah. My least expensive hard folding cover is going to be the BAKFlip G2. It's free shipping and no sales tax if you're outside of Arizona.

Ford F150 Owner: Okay, so the G2 is the least expensive hard cover, you say?

Peter: It is.

Ford F150 Owner: Okay. Now what is the most popular tonneau cover that you all pretty much really sell?

Peter: That's one of them.

Ford F150 Owner: Okay. Is the BAKFlip G2 somewhere on the site? That way I can look at it and see how it looks?

Peter: Yeah, it's on the website.

Ford F150 Owner: And the website is tonneaucovered.com, right?

Peter: That's right.

Ford F150 Owner: What is the next grade under a hardtop? Do you have a soft hard top?

Peter: We have a soft folding cover by Extang.

Ford F150 Owner: Yeah. How is that cover?

Peter: It's pretty good.

Ford F150 Owner: Is that Extang cover durable as well?

Peter: It is.

Ford F150 Owner: And what warranty do these covers come with?

Peter: The hard is two years, and the soft is actually a lifetime.

Ford F150 Owner: And the soft cover, now what is that one called? I'm going to take a look at that one, too.

Peter: Yeah. That's called the Extang Trifecta 2.0.

Ford F150 Owner: Now is this Trifecta dual bolt, just like the BAKFlip one? Like leak-wise and durable?

Peter: Yes.

Ford F150 Owner: Well, let me take a look at these different covers on your website then, and then I will go from there. I'll definitely be calling you back.

Peter: Sounds good

Best Tonneau Cover for a 2018 GMC Crew Cab Short Bed: BAKFlip MX4 vs G2

GMC Owner: I just bought a new truck recently, a 2018 GMC, and I'm looking to get a tonneau cover

Paul: Okay. So it's a 2018 GMC with what size bed?

GMC Owner: Crew cab short bed

Paul: Alright now I recommend the MX4 which is one of the newest ones out
.

GMC Owner: What's the difference between the MX4 and the G2?

Paul: The G2 is gonna be cheaper, but its panels aren't as thick as the MX4, so the MX4 is a bit more dent resistant. The finish on its shiny instead of the matte black, the tailgate seal is a flap tailgate seal instead of a dual tailgate seal which allows you to open and close your tailgate without having to open up your cover. On the G2 you're gonna have to open up your cover every time you wanna shut that tailgate

GMC Owner: That's a good plus for the MX4. What about the warranty?

Paul: The warranty on the MX is a three year where there's only a two year on the G2.

GMC Owner: Okay, well that pretty much seals the deal. You said it's the matte satin finish instead of shiny?

Paul: Correct. If you have bed roll caps on there it should match those pretty nice.

GMC Owner: I do. Alright and that's free shipping for what I understand right?

Paul: Free shipping and no tax outside of Arizona.

GMC Owner: Good deal. Well can I go ahead and order one?

Paul: Yes, sir

BAK Tonneau Cover Information for a 2014 Chevy 2500 With Six and a Half Foot Bed.

Chevy Owner: I looked online and you sent me a reply on the price of a BAK tonneau cover for my 2014 Chevy and I have some questions on it.

Peter: Okay. What are your questions?

Chevy Owner: It's a four section Tonneau cover, right?

Peter: Yes.

Chevy Owner: And my concern is that if I fold it up, I either have to have it standing up or it can be laid down. I have a fifth wheel camper and I'd rather not have it standing up when it's folded up, but I would like to have it all folded up on the fourth one if that's possible. So I was wondering what the dimension of that was.

Peter: I do not have that, unfortunately. Every truck's a little bit different. So you're saying when it's folded not all the way up, but just over on top of itself right behind the cab without standing it up, right?

Chevy Owner: Yes.

Peter: That I do not have. I don't have that dimension. BAK industries might. What's the year, make and model?

Chevy Owner: 2014 Chevy 2500, standard bed, six and a half foot bed.

Peter: Okay. Yeah. I'm sorry, I do not have that information. I could find out for you though.

Chevy Owner: Okay. I would appreciate that.

Peter: Sure. No problem. Okay. I'll reach out to BAK and I'll find out this information for you to make sure that it's going to be a good fit.

Ordering the Correct Size BAKFlip G2 for a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500

Ram Owner: I went to your website and was looking into another tonneau cover to order. And I got a couple questions. If you look at your records, I ordered for a RAM 1500 about five, six weeks ago.

Peter: Okay.

Ram Owner: It came in and it was the wrong size. My son told me the wrong length of the bed. It was a BAKflip G2.

Peter: Okay.

Ram Owner: And you know, as soon as I pulled the first rail out of the box and put it on his truck, I could see that we were about six to eight inches too short. So of course I measured his truck bed at that point and said "Yeah, my son gave me the wrong bed size."

Peter: Right.

Ram Owner: But I also noticed that the width, the width for the cover itself was too short. It wasn't wide enough. In other words, the holes that are designed to lock the cover onto the side rails at the front, at the leading edge was considerably too short, probably upwards of four inches too short. So is there a difference in the width of a bed between a 226207 and a 226203, which is for the six foot four inch bed?

Peter: Every bed is different. So I guess it's kind of a short answer. But every bed is different. Did we end you getting you the correct size?

Ram Owner: No, I have not ordered the replacement because after finding out what the return policy was, I decided to keep it and try to sell it myself. It was going to cost me too much to return it.

Peter: Right, okay.

Ram Owner: So I'm definitely not going to order another one until I know for sure it's going to fit.

Peter: Right, I gotcha. So let me see. What was the year, make and model?

Ram Owner: It's a 2017 Dodge RAM 1500. And the original one I ordered was for the five foot seven inch bed without the RAM box.

Peter: Okay.

Ram Owner: And I looked on your site for the six foot four inch bed and the model number is a BAK 226203. So the reason I'm calling is to make sure that the width of the 203 is wider than the 207.

Peter: Yes, it'll be a perfect fit. Every bed is different. Even when they're shorter. All of the appropriate hardware and shims and everything will be there. So yeah, it'll be a perfect fit.

Ram Owner: And if it's not a perfect fit, are you guys going to return it at no cost to me?

Peter: Yeah, if there was a manufacturer defect or something like that. That would be the only time it wouldn't be a perfect fit.

Ram Owner: I'm a little skeptical. I mean, I would think that the only difference in a bed would be the length, but you're telling me that no, the beds can be wider too. That's what you're saying.

Peter: It can, it can depending on ... But the point is that you don't have to worry because the manufacturer knows the exact dimension. And so when they associate with a part number, it's going to be a perfect fit, unless in the rare, very rare case that there was some sort of manufacturer defect with that one specific cover that was sent out ... And that can happen from time to time. Like they, for whatever reason, in manufacturing there was some defect that made it longer or wider or something like that, obviously we'll take care of that. Short of that, it should be a perfect fit.

Ram Owner: Okay. Can you verify that this is the correct model, the 203? That's for a '17 RAM 1500 with a six foot four inch long bed without the RAM box.

Peter: Box. Yes, this is it.

Ram Owner: Okay, let me go and order it.

**Transaction Completed**

Peter: Okay. So allow about five to seven days for this. You're going to get an email confirmation here in just a second. If you ever have any issues, just give me a call personally and I'll do whatever I can to help you.

Gerald: Very good.
