What is the Best Scratch Resistant Waterproof Tonneau Cover for a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500?

GMC Sierra Owner: I have a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5'8 bed, and I need a tonneau cover.

Shaun: What kind of cover were you looking at?

GMC Sierra Owner: Well, you sent me an email on a couple that, or three of them that kind of go over the top. Two from Extang and one from Retrax.

Shaun: Okay.

GMC Sierra Owner: But I think from looking at those and kind of figuring it out, I think we're more in line to do one of the covers that, what do you call it? Low profile? The one that's not on top of the bed, it's in the bed.

Shaun: The tri-fold.

GMC Sierra Owner: The tri-fold. Tri-fold or a roll up, but it looks like the roll ups cost a heck of a lot more.

Shaun: Correct, yeah the Retrax, the aluminum version, which is one with the life-time warranty on it. That one costs more. Are you wanting to get a BakFlip or something like that?

GMC Sierra Owner: Yeah, I'm thinking so. The email I got a couple of weeks ago had the BAKFlip MX4. I like that one. And I was kind of Googling it last night and checking out some reviews. Apparently, folks like it, except that they say it scratches pretty easily.

Shaun: Alright, the one you're going to want, if you're going for the tri-fold, the one you're going to want is UnderCover Armor Flex. It's got LINE-X on it. You can't scratch that cover.

GMC Sierra Owner: Got you. And is it a matte black or a shiny black?

Shaun: Matte black.

GMC Sierra Owner: Okay, and it's pretty good on the water spilling off? Here it is. They're all about the same aren't they, when it comes to that?

Shaun: Yeah, and this one's actually got a five-year warranty instead of a three.

GMC Sierra Owner: Oh, okay, yeah if you could shoot me that one in an email I'll take a look.

Shaun: Okay, I'm going to send you the actual order form. All you got to do if you want to go ahead and do it is click proceed with that.

Is the BAKFlip MX4 for a 2019 GMC Sierra Scratch Resistant and Secure?

GMC Sierra Owner: Yes, I just got pricing online for your BAKFlip MX-4

Shawn: Okay, did you want go ahead and place an order for one of those today?

GMC Sierra Owner: Well I'm not sure. I've never seen this one and I was looking at your website and people had several different ones on there. And I didn't know if I like the idea of this one being able to flip up one, two or three and lock in place. Do you have others like that?

Shawn: We do, but the BAKFlip MX4 is actually one of the best on the market.

GMC Sierra Owner: Oh okay. So is the MX4 kind of a matte, scratch-resistant, non-fade out looking thing?

Shawn: Correct, yeah. It's got the heavy duty aluminum panel so they're dent resistant, scratch resistant. It's got the dual action tailgate seal where you can open and close your tailgate without opening the cover.

GMC Sierra Owner: So if I shut the tailgate and lock it is someone going to be able to get into this? Or is it secure?

Shawn: If they want to bad enough they'll be able to get into anything. But in theory, no, you have to have the tailgate open in order to operate the mechanism.

GMC Sierra Owner: Okay 'cause I drive an Avalanche now and I'm just getting rid of it, it's a GMC but I can't get that locking Avalanche thing. And so okay, let's see, yeah I'd like to have one delivered I guess. What all do you need?

Shawn: Okay so what, you said you've got a GMC?

GMC Sierra Owner: Yeah I have a 2019 GMC Sierra 1500, it's the crew cab with the short bed. And I'm not sure if it's five and a half, or five foot eight. Do I need to go measure it real quick? Yeah it's the new body style, 2019.

Shawn: No it's fine, what you've given me is plenty. Short bed, it's either gonna be a short bed or a standard and standard is six and a half, and you'd know if it was that.

GMC Sierra Owner: Yeah it's not that. I measured outside and I couldn't tell if it was five foot five or five foot six. I don't know if you measure from inside or outside or what.

Shawn: Yeah they do it from the inside of the tailgate to the outside, inside of the bulkhead to the inside of the tailgate.

GMC Sierra Owner: I know that BAKFlip makes a G2 or something, but it's kind of a shiny rough finish isn't it? Or do you not carry that one?

Shawn: Yeah, no the G2, it's a shiny finish and then it's also got thinner panels. It doesn't have that seal that you can open and close your tailgate. You got the good one.

GMC Sierra Owner: Good, okay 'cause I've never seen this and I just want to make sure 'cause I really like that Avalanche I have the way it's done. Okay well I appreciate all your time and help.

Shawn: You got it. Have a good day my friend.

Is the AMP Research Plug and Play Available For My 2006 Dodge Ram 2500?

Dodge Ram Owner.: I talked to you last week about some AMP steps for my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 and I was just gonna see if I can call and place an order cause I tried to do it online, but it would not send me an email.

Peter: OK. OK I can get you going here.

Dodge Ram Owner.: OK, but I wanted to add the extensions as well. Do you carry the extensions for my Ram?

Peter: Let me see if AMP carries those. Okay, yes I see them here so I can add that to the order.

Dodge Ram Owner.: OK and that's free shipping, right?

Peter: Yes.

Dodge Ram Owner.: Alright and what is that, the plug and play?

Peter: It's not. They don't make the plug and play for your vehicle.

Does the BAKFlip G2 for a 2015 Ford F250 Crew Cab Come With a Lock?

F250 Owner: Okay. I just received an email about the BAKFlip G2 Tonneau Cover.

Sean: Okay. Do you want to place an order for one of those?

F250 Owner: Well, I had some questions about the cover first.

Sean: Whatcha got?

F250 Owner: What type of key and lock comes with that? Is it a hardened lock?

Sean: There are no locks on the covers, but you can't open the cover with your tailgate locked, so as long as you have a tailgate lock, you are good to go.

F250 Owner: Okay. Does this come with the dust cover, between the Tonneau Cover and the tailgate?

Sean: Sure, I can throw a tailgate seal in there for you.

F250 Owner: Okay. You quoted me free shipping. Is that still available?

Sean: Yes sir. What kind of truck is it?

F250 Owner: It's a 2015 Ford F250 Crew Cab six foot nine box. Can I order a little later today?

Sean: Well here's what I'll do. I'm going to e-mail you with a form and should you want to do it yourself you'll have that option, and if you want to call us back I can help you that way too.

What Should I Know Before Installing an Undercover Ultra Flex on My 2017 Dodge Ram?

Dodge Ram Owner: I am interested in ordering a tonneau cover for a 2017 Dodge Ram with a 5 foot, seven inch bed.

Peter: Okay.

Dodge Ram Owner: I'm looking for the UnderCover Ultra Flex. I'm looking at the email that you sent back to me.

Peter: Okay. Yeah, I've got it. It's free shipping and there's no sales tax if you're ordering from outside of Arizona.

Dodge Ram Owner: Okay. That is the one that... Let me read the email, because you sent me this email a while back, like in December. Yeah, it goes five foot, seven inch UnderCover Ultra Flex. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's the one. Okay, do you need my credit card or something for that?

Peter: Yeah. I can get you going here. I'm going to get this shipped out today.

Dodge Ram Owner: Okay. Is there anything I should know before I try to install the cover?

Peter: Yes, before you install it, just make sure that nothing was damaged in shipping.

Dodge Ram Owner: Okay. Is it common to find damage on a tonneau cover when it arrives?

Peter: It's really rare for that to happen, but it does happen occassionally. But if anything were damaged, don't install it. Just call me, we'll take care of it.

What's The Difference Between Roll N Lock's A Series M Series & E Series Tonneau Covers?

Toyota Tundra Owner: I just received an email from you about a Roll-N-Lock cover. And I need more information.

Peter: Okay.

Toyota Tundra Owner: I've got a Toyota Tundra, crew cab, five and a half foot bed. I see that you've got the M series, the A series and the E series. What are the primary differences? Just the vinyl over the aluminum, and powder-coated?

Peter: Yeah, so they're very similar except the M series is the vinyl over the aluminum. The A series is just the all powder-coated aluminum and then the E series is the aluminum with electric retractable. It's electric-powered, yeah.

Toyota Tundra Owner: Okay. Now, no, I don't need electric at all. Actually, I've never had a vinyl cover on a truck before. I've always owned a truck, but I've never had a cover like that. And I got this new one and I'm thinking I want to do this. What is your opinion of the Roll-N-Lock versus the tri-fold?

Peter: Well, I mean I like the hard covers just because you get more security, obviously. The retractables are great, but they're just super heavy duty. One thing to think about is that a retractable has a canister that the cover slot, that the cover retracts into, and that sits down in the bed and that takes up about 10 inches by 10 inches by the width of the bed. So you're going lose some space in there. If that's a concern, then the hard folding covers, like the back-flip covers, might be a good option because it gives you full bed access when you need to.

Toyota Tundra Owner: I see. Okay, so you're saying that the Roll-N-Lock has that ... It actually takes up part of my bed?

Peter: Yes. It rolls into a canister that sits down inside the bed, behind the cab. Like right at the front of the bed. So you're going to lose a little bit of bed space there.

Toyota Tundra Owner: Okay. A question, does that go all the way down to the bed itself?

Peter: It doesn't. You're going to have some space underneath, but it does go the full width of the bed.

Toyota Tundra Owner: Okay. Well, the reason I'm questioning is, with the bed that I've got, I can put my seven-foot rods caddy-corner and they fit. My rods and reels, fishing rods, and they fit but if I lost any space right down at the bottom of the ... on the bed, on the bottom of the bed itself, then I would not be able to do that.

Peter: No, you should be fine with rods. You're going to have enough room for those. Definitely.
