What Are The Cheapest Tonneau Cover Options For a 1997 Toyota T100 SR5 Extended Cab?

Toyota Owner: I'd gotten an email from you about tonneau covers, that there was a discount going on.

Peter: Yes, what truck is it for?

Toyota Owner: It's a 1997 Toyota T100 SR5 extended cab, 3.4 liter engine.

Peter: What's the bed length?

Toyota Owner: I'm not 100% sure on the bed length

Best Low Profile Tonneau Cover for a Ford F350

Ford F-350 Owner: I have a Ford F350 which previously had a Truck Gear Tonneau cover that was just a roll up. I was looking for something that would be flat, that would get pretty much even with the bedrails themselves, and that would be retractable. I don't necessarily need power. Is there something like that?

Peter: Are you looking for retractable cover or another roll-up cover?

Ford F-350 Owner: I can go either way. Retractable is nice where it just kind of shoves itself up, but whatever works I'm, happy with.

Peter: Okay. We're just talking about a huge difference in like price and quality when we're talking about a retractable and a roll up. The retractables are going to sit flush inside the bedrail, so it's not going to sit on top. Is this an eight foot bed?

Ford F-350 Owner: It's a 6 and a half foot bed.

Peter: Okay.

Ford F-350 Owner: It's the Super Crew, so it's not the full eight.

Peter: Okay, so I mean with retractables you're going to have a lot of different options ranging from from Roll N Lock to Retrax. I mean those can start anywhere from around $1200 and go up from there. It just depends on which model you're looking at. The soft roll up covers one like the TuxEdo Lo Pro, can start from anywhere between $270 and go up to maybe $500 or so. 

Ford F-350 Owner: Okay, well the one that I have cost me somewhere around the $500 range but it doesn't sit level with the bedrail. The Velcro attaching part of it is about an inch above the bedrail.

Peter: Right. So the TruxEdo Lo Pro sits pretty much flush inside the bedrail. It sits up maybe half an inch but it's very low profile. It's the most low profile soft roll up out there. Plus it's free shipping and no sales tax.

Ford F-350 Owner: Okay, and is that fairly durable for the type that it is? Understanding that it doesn't lock but when I close the bedrail you can't just pull it open?

Is the cost of a Truxedo TruXport lower for a Short Bed Than a Long Bed?

F-350 Owner: I spoke to you, I believe yesterday or the day before, about a Tonneau Cover. You had sent me a link where I could pay. The one thing that I noticed on the link is when I spoke to you and an email followed with a phone only tailgate seal.

Peter: Oh okay.

F-350 Owner: And that tailgate seal's not on the invoice that you had emailed to me so I figured I'd call and order just to make sure I got everything.

Peter: Yeah, I remember you. Okay, it was a Truxedo TruXport, correct?

F-350 Owner: Yep, 238601 was their part number for the TruXport.

Peter: That's it. Let me get the tailgate seal kit in here. The tailgate seal kit's going to come from our office here in Arizona. So it will arrive separately but I can get everything on the way. So you're wanting to place this order right now?

How Do I Get the Best Price on a Truxedo Truxport for a 95 Ford F-350 Long Bed?

Ford F-350 Owner: I had purchased a Tonneau cover from you for another truck. What I'm looking at is the TruXedo TruXport. It's for a '95 Ford F-350. It's a long bed, eight foot bed.

Tonneau Covered Agent: It seals up the inside of the tailgate and keeps dust and water out, which is a nice addition with the tonneau cover.

Ford F-350 Owner: Okay. Like across the bottom where the tailgate touches the bed basically?

Tonneau Covered Agent: Exactly.

Tonneau Covered Agent: Absolutely. If you were to find it for less anywhere, as long as they're an authorized dealer, we would refund you the difference plus $5.

Ford F-350 Owner: Okay. but rather than going through that, it would probably be easier just to get the price up front and then you don't have to go through the whole refund process and do it twice.

Ford F-350 Owner: Okay, cool. I know my wife's going to go right to Amazon. If it's on Amazon, is that legit or does it depend on who's selling it?

Tonneau Covered Agent: It depends who's selling it and then you have to remember that they're going to charge sales tax as well on top of that listed price.
