What's the Best Retrax Cover for a 2017 Ford F-150 Crew Cab?

F-150 Owner: I was just trying to get a price on the Retrax. I have a 2017 F-150 Crew Cab. I think the bed is 5.7

Peter: Retrax? Okay. Which Retrax model?

F-150 Owner: The Elite one or the other one? I don't know which one. I didn't even check which ones you have. Which ones do you have?

Peter: We have all their models. We carry their whole line.

F-150 Owner: Oh, okay.

Peter: Are you looking for an aluminum cover?

F-150 Owner: It doesn't have to be aluminum.

Peter: Okay. They have a polycarbonate, so it's plastic and then they have an aluminum. The plastic one is a little cheaper.

F-150 Owner: It's free shipping?

Peter: It is. Yes.

F-150 Owner: All right. Thanks a lot, man.

Rebate Redemption for a Retrax XR tonneau cover for a 2018 GMC Sierra

GMC Sierra Owner: I talked to you guys about a week and a half ago or so about a cover for a truck, and it looks like now that they're doing a special with the Retrax, the XR that comes with a rebate that you can get the Yakima racks to go with it.

Peter: That's right.

GMC Sierra Owner: How do I do something to set that up, or is it something I do over the phone with you or online? How does that work?

Peter: Yeah, I can take care of it with you. What truck was it for?

GMC Sierra Owner: A 2018 GMC Sierra.

Peter: What's the bed length?


GMC Sierra Owner: It's the short bed, the five, eight.

Peter: Did we send you a quote?

GMC Sierra Owner: Yes.

Peter: Ok, I can take care of it with you right now if you'd like.

GMC Sierra Owner: Ok. And then for the rebate, I just take the receipt and mail it in with the rebate that's online from them, and then they send it separately for the rack or how does that work?

Peter: That's right. Exactly. After we complete your order we will ship your tonneau cover to you, but you will redeem the rebate directly through Retrax.

Peter: So again, that's the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 short bed?

GMC Sierra Owner: Yes, and I would like the Retrax Pro XR.

Peter: Alright. So allow about five to seven days for delivery on this. You're going to get an email confirmation here in just a second. And you're all set.

GMC Sierra Owner: Cool. And then is that rebate thing on Retrax's website or is that something you guys send over too.


Peter: My customer service team will send it, but they usually don't for about five days. They send them in batches, but you can get it right there on Retrax's website if you would like it sooner.

GMC Sierra Owner: How does it work if there's any warranty problems or anything like that? Do I contact you or just them directly?

Peter: It's Retrax directly since they're the manufacturer.

GMC Sierra Owner: Well, I got your email. Thank you so much, and I'll wait for it come in a couple of days.

What Information is Needed to Redeem a Retrax Rebate?

Retrax Customer: Hi, Sean. I am just calling because my husband bought a tonneau cover, and was supposed to get a rebate from Retrax. They're asking for a copy of the actual invoice, and we got a bunch of the emails and confirmations, but where can I find the information I need? 

Sean: Let me see here.

Retrax Customer: I think they're asking for a serial number. On the product? Is that what that serial number is?


Sean: Yeah, it's on the product and it's also on the box itself. So, if you still have the box, you should have it there as well.

Retrax Customer: Yeah, I don't know if he still has the box or not.

Sean: Okay. So, here's what I'm gonna do. I can print a packing slip, which should suffice.


Retrax Customer: It's asking me for a copy of the invoice and the dealer, would that be, tonneaucovered.com? Is that what I list for the dealer?

Sean: Yeah, and if they have any questions, just have them reach out to us because we actually buy directly from them. I'm gonna send some serial number location instructions to you and it will tell you where to look for your serial number as well.


Retrax Customer: That's actually on the tonneau cover somewhere?


Sean: Yes, ma'am. 

Retrax Customer: Because I was looking through all of the emails from you and it is just the things saying, "Your order has been shipped."

Sean: I resent the order confirmation to you. That should suffice. Should it not, have whoever you're speaking to at Retrax reach out to me directly. My name is Sean. I'm gonna send you the serial number location now as well.

Retrax Customer: Okay. Thank you very much.
