What's the Best Retrax Cover for a 2007 Chevy 3500 Extended Cab Long Bed?

Chevy Owner: I'm looking for a Tonneau cover and I got an email back from you folks yesterday and now I'm just following up. I'm interested in the Retrax Pro XR.

Peter: Okay. Gotcha. What truck is it for?

Chevy Owner: It's for a 2007 Chevy 3500 Extended Cab long bed.


Peter: Okay. Let me see. Let me double check this, Retrax Pro XR for a 2007 Chevy 3500 eight foot bed. Got it, have we sent you a quote yet?

Chevy Owner: Yes, I received a quote yesterday.

Peter: It's also free shipping and there's no sales tax if you're ordering from outside of Arizona.

Chevy Owner: All right. I have just a couple questions. I saw something that if you buy before the end of April you get some Yakima crossbars.

Peter: That's correct. That's a rebate from Retrax right now.

Chevy Owner: So if that's included is there anything I have to do to get that?

Peter: Yeah the rebate is through Retrax, so you basically send in the rebate form and then they'll send you the bars.

Chevy Owner: Okay. Those are Yakima crossbars right?

Peter: That's correct.

Chevy Owner: Perfect. Now there was one question about whether or not this truck had wide top rails in terms of fit.

Peter: Well Retrax makes wide rails for some trucks, but not yours.

Chevy Owner: Okay. I just have this truck and I know that the top of the bed is four and a half inches wide or something so I didn't know if there was another model that was thinner or skinnier or this was standard. This cover covers up the stake bed holes, is that right?

Peter: Partially, yes.

Chevy Owner: Alright, so you folks don't carry the bike trays, the bicycle holders from Yakima?

Peter: We do not.

Chevy Owner: Okay. So then I'm looking at an email here. There's some other tailgate seal or something that you're going to include that seals up the space between your bed and the tailgate? What's that all about?

Peter: Yeah it's a tailgate seal kit. Just keeps water and dust out. It's a good addition with the tonneau cover.

Chevy Owner: Okay. So just go over everything one more time that I'm gonna get from you folks for the quoted price.

Peter: It's the Retract Pro XR, the rebate is included. So you'll send in the rebate form to get the Yakima bars and then we'll also be including the tailgate seal kit for free.

Chevy Owner: Sounds good and then so what do you expect shipping time to be on that?

Peter: Five to seven days.

Chevy Owner: Okay. I'll go ahead and order

Peter: Yeah you're all set. You're good to go.

Will I My Tonneau Cover and Tailgate Seal be Shipped at the Same Time?

Tonneau Cover Customer: Hi. I ordered a tonneau cover from you on Monday.

Peter: Okay.

Tonneau Cover Customer: I was trying to track the cover, but it says it hasn't shipped yet. I was gonna see if you could double check on that for me and potentially if you know when it would arrive.

Peter: Yeah, it doesn't always update live. It probably has shipped if you ordered on Monday. I'll have to request it from the manufacturer.

Tonneau Cover Customer: It's not too big a deal. I figured it has been done already, but with the tracking, it says it hasn't shipped, so I just wanted to make sure that it wasn't on backorder or something like that.

Peter: No, it's in stock.

Tonneau Cover Customer: Oh, perfect. I had briefly talked to somebody yesterday. I received an email about getting a free tailgate seal with the order of the tonneau cover after I had ordered.

Peter: Yes.

Tonneau Cover Customer: Okay. Do I need that tailgate seal to install the bedrail on the tonneau?


Peter: No it's not required for the installation. In fact, that's coming from our office here in Arizona, so the tailgate seal will arrive separately. 


Tonneau Cover Customer: All right. I appreciate it. Like I said, it's not too big a deal. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't some backorder or something like that. I'm kind of expecting to see it in about seven days or so, correct?


Peter: Right.

Tonneau Cover Customer: Okay, great. Thanks a lot. I appreciate your time.

How Long Does Shipping Take Once I Place an Order for a Tonneau Cover?

Tacoma Owner: Hey Peter, I ordered a tonneau cover and everything's confirmed, but how long does it typically take for them to ship out?

Peter: Let me see here. Alright, yeah you ordered on Monday for your Tacoma. Okay. So typically you'll receive it about five to seven days from when your order. It usually takes two or three days until it ships and then two or three days later you would receive it. Everything looks good here. I can always request tracking on this if you'd like and then I can email it over to you.

Tacoma Owner: I just thought I'd check to make sure and check that everything looked good on my order.

Peter: Yeah. No I understand. No worries. Everything looks good. We actually don't send shipping confirmations because it comes directly from the manufacturer, not us. But we can always locate tracking at any time. But I would say you're probably gonna have it by the end of the week, or early like next week.
