On a Retrax Pro MX, If You Lower The Tailgate, Can You Undo the Locking Mechanism Without the Key?

F250 Owner: I'm calling to see if you can give me a price on a Tonneau Cover.

Peter: Sure. Yeah. What truck is it for?

F250 Owner: It is a 2017 Ford F250 with 6'9" or the 6'8" bed. The short bed.

Peter: Okay. Got you. Which cover were you looking at?

F250 Owner: The Retrax Pro MX.

Peter: Okay. I have that and it's free shipping and there's no sales tax if you're ordering from outside of Arizona.

F250 Owner: Why is it so cheap? That's $300 cheaper than everybody else is quoting for the Pro MX.

Peter: Yeah. We're known for our pricing here. We work directly with the manufacturer so we can save you guys some money.

F250 Owner: Do you know much about that tonneau cover?

Peter: I do.

F250 Owner: You know how it's got that little key and then it's got the, be able to flip up on the side on the driver's side.

Peter: Right.

F250 Owner: To open it. If you lower the tailgate, can you undo the locking mechanism without the key? Or is it something that I would have to pop that deal on top?

Peter: Oh, man, actually that's a good question. You might've stumped me. I'm not sure. So you're saying can you just leave it unlocked?

F250 Owner: Well not necessarily leave it unlocked, but if I didn't have the key in my pocket, but I had my truck key, could I just basically lower the tail, because it's got a locking tailgate on it, below the tailgate. And then get into the bed of the truck that way. Or do I always have to have the key to unlock it?

Peter: Yeah, I think you do need the key. Did you want to place an order today?

F250 Owner: Not yet. I've been pricing these for the last week and I just found out about all this.

Peter: Okay.

F250 Owner: Is that for one with the stake pocket cutouts?

Peter: That would add $40 to the price.

F250 Owner: Okay. The price is still good though. But I'm going to think about it a little longer.

Peter: Yeah for sure. Let me know if you have any other questions.

How Can I Get a Free Gift With a Retrax Pro XR for My 2016 Ford F-150

F-150 Owner: You had sent me a quote on the Retrax Pro XR and then I talked to you this morning about the Power.

Peter: Yes. I remember

F-150 Owner: I think I'm just going to stick with the regular Retrax Pro XR. I don't really need the power.

Peter: Okay. I'll get that ordered up for you. What truck was it for again?

F-150 Owner: A 2016 Ford F150 with a short bed.

Peter: Okay. All right. So allow about five to seven days for delivery on this.

F-150 Owner: Okay. Now you also sent me a thing for a free tailgate seal?

Peter: Yes, I can include that as well. That's going to come from our office here in Arizona, via U.S. Postal Service, so it might take a minute, but I definitely will get it on the way here.

Are The Rear Husky Floor Liners For The Ford SuperCab one-piece or two-piece?

Tonneau Covered Customer: I already ordered a tonneau cover from you guys, but do you carry WeatherTech?

Sean Howard: Yeah, we've got WeatherTech and we have Husky. The one that I would recommend is the Husky because they're form fitting as well. They have the same kind of process that WeatherTech does, but they're not as stiff and they're not as slick. They're more rubbery than plastic.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Would you happen to know on the Ford SuperCab, is the rear one one-piece or two-piece?

Sean Howard: Let me see here...

Tonneau Covered Customer: I discovered that, well, it's, I guess it's kind of moot once I get my Tonneau cover mounted. One of the things I discovered was that my bike fits in the back of the cab.

Sean Howard: Oh Nice. That's awesome. Let's see here. So the name brand is X Act. Let me see here what they have. So 2019 F-150 SuperCab, SuperCrew, Standard?

Tonneau Covered Customer: SuperCab.

Sean Howard: Okay. And then it looks like the second, the rear is one solid piece that says full coverage.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Yeah, that sounds like exactly what I need.

Sean Howard: Yeah. I'm going to send you this link too while I'm thinking about it, and just take a look at it. Let me know what you think.

Tonneau Covered Customer: Cool. I'll take a look and get back to you.

Sean Howard: I heard that. Yeah, man, take your time.

Where Do I Measure My Bed From on My 2019 Chevy Colorado for an Access Original Cover?

Chevy Colorado Owner: You've been texting me about a Tonneau Cover. I applied for information and I haven't been able to get back to you. So I just now had time to get back to you.

Peter: Okay, which cover were we talking about?

Chevy Colorado Owner: An Access Original.

Peter: Okay, and what truck was it for?

Chevy Colorado Owner: 2019 Chevy Colorado. Now I took measurements of the bed. I've been told it's a short bed, but where do you want the measurements from to determine exactly what bed it is?

Peter: From the inside to the inside, so from right behind the cab on the inside of the bed to the inside of the tailgate.

Chevy Colorado Owner: Okay, the furthest point cause, you know it's got kind of ribs in the front. The furthest point is 61 3/4 inches.

Peter: Okay, so it's the short bed. Got it. And you said Access Original. Have I sent you a quote yet?

Chevy Colorado Owner: You've sent me 2 or 3 quotes so far.

Peter: And it's free shipping. And there's no sales tax.

Chevy Colorado Owner: What about the tailgate, what is it called? The seal, or whatever it is?

Peter: Oh, the tailgate seal kit. Yeah, I can include that as well.

What's the Difference Between a BAK Revolver X2 and the Revolver X4 for a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500?

Silverado Owner: I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. Tell me, what's the difference between the BAK Revolver X2 and the Revolver X4?

Peter: The X2 is a shinier vinyl on top. And the X4 is more of a matte black finish.

Silverado Owner: What do you think I would need? I got my truck, it's jet black.

Peter: Okay.

Silverado Owner: I mean I didn't know the difference. I just ask you for, I mean got a quote on that one, thinking that it was just a newer design or something but I couldn't see the difference on it.

Peter: Most people just like the look of the X4 a little bit better.

Silverado Owner: Okay. Yeah, I probably like that one too because I don't keep my truck shiny anyways.

Peter: Right.

Silverado Owner: Okay. Well, I'd like to place that order if we could do it over the phone.

Peter: Yes, no problem. Just allow about five to seven days for delivery on this. And you're going to receive a confirmation email here in just a second. There we go. And you're all set, you're good to go.

Can I Order the BAKFlip MX4 for a 2011 Ford F150 With an 8 Foot Bed?

Ford F-150 Owner: I was calling to try and figure out what the best cover is for a 2011 Ford F150 with an 8 foot bed.

Shawn: Do you want a folding cover?

Ford F-150 Owner: Yes, a folding one.

Shawn: So there's a few different options. I don't know how much you've looked into these covers, but BakFlip is the main brand that we sell, or the best one on the market in my opinion. And they either have a shiny one or a matte black one, the matte black one's a little bit more, but honestly it's a great cover. Which one do you think you'd be more interested in?

Ford F-150 Owner: I don't know, I guess the matte one would be good. What's the difference, just paint?

Shawn: Actually, you know what, I apologize. The matte black one you can't get that one on your truck because you have the eight foot bed. So, sorry about that, I guess I didn't even take that into consideration. So for a 2011, it is different paint, I mean it's powder coated differently, it's a heavier dutier, heavy duty cover. So, it's got a little bit better features than the original BakFlip G2. It's got a dual action tailgate seal to where you can open and close the tailgate without having to open up that last panel of your cover. So there's a few different things that make it better.

Ford F-150 Owner: What's the model you're talking about?

Shawn: The one I was talking bout is the MX4 but unfortunately like I said since you have the eight foot bed I can't get you that one. The G2 would be the one that I could get you and I emailed you a quote. It would be shipped for free and then there's no tax outside of Arizona.

Ford F-150 Owner: Ok well let me think about it. I do want a folding cover, but I'll look into the G2 a little more and call you back.

Shawn: Alright. Sounds good!
